1 lb lentil (the green brown but not the green)
1 large chopped onion (optional)
6 tbsp olive oil
½ tsp turmeric
1 tsp cumin (ground)
½ tsp salt
In a large pot fry the onion with the olive oil and the turmeric until golden
Add all other ingredients and mix well.
Add 5 cups of water, mix and bring to boil.
Cook in low heat for at least 1 hour (I like it as a paste, so I cook it for 2 hours).
