1 cup dry green pees
1 tsp ground cumin
1 chopped onion
1 tsp baking powder
4 tbsp burghul
¼ cup chopped parsley
¼ cup chopped cilantro
3 garlic clovers
Oil for deep frying
Soak the pees in water overnight and drain.
Blend pees, onion, parsley, cilantro, cumin and garlic in food processor (do not blend to a fine paste).
Add the burghul and the baking powders and blend shortly for a few turns.
Cover with wrap and cool in refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
In deep pot heat the oil (you may check with a piece of vegetable by inserting the end into oil and when it starts to sizzle, the oil is hot enough).
Make balls in the size of tennis balls and fry them. (Do not overload the oil with too many balls).
When brown, remove and put on paper towel to absorb excess of oil.
