Ingredients:


3 cups basmati rice
2 cups red lentils
11 minced garlic cloves
2 chopped tomatoes
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp cumin
1/2 cup plus 3 tbsp olive oil
Salt
Black Pepper
5 cups water


Directions:


Soak the rice and the lentil for 2 hours
Fry the tomato and 10 garlic cloves in olive oil for about 10 minutes for liquids to vaporize
Add the 5 cups water and bring to boil
Drain the rice and the lentil and add to pot and bring to boil
Cover and cook for half hour over low heat
Turn off heat
Fry the cumin and 1 garlic clove for 2-3 minutes
Sprinkle over the dish and set aside for 10 minutes
Mix and serve
