4 oz wheat
2 oz split peas
2 oz black-eye beans
2 oz lentils
1 lb chopped spinach
2 chopped onions
½ tsp turmeric
1 tbsp flour
flour
olive oil
salt
black pepper
Directions:
Soak peas, beans, lentils and wheat in water for 3 hours
Fry onion to golden
Add 4 cups hot water
Add peas, beans, lentils, wheat, turmeric, salt and pepper, and cook over low heat for about an hour, stir often to avoid the beans from sticking
Add spinach and cook for another 5 minutes
Fry flour in 2 tbsp oil for a few minutes, add to soup and cook for a 5 minutes
