Ingredients:


Dough:
Flour - 1/2 pound
Eggs - 2
Canola oil - 3 tbsp
water - 1/3 cup
Salt - 1/2 tsp

Filling:
Smith apples - 1 pound
sugar - 1/3 cup
butter (or canola oil) - 1/4 cup
Cinnamon - 1/2 tsp

Topping (optional):
Whipped cream or sugar powder


Directions:


Mix the dough ingredients in a mixer for 10 minutes
Make a big ball, slightly oil the surface, wrap it with plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours

Prepare the filling:
Peel the apples, remove the center and cut into an inch size cubes
Mix the sugar and the cinnamon, sprinkle over the apples and mix well
Pour the melted butter or the oil over the apples and mix well
Take the dough and divide by 2
On a well flowered surface, roll each part into a wide sheet
Add 1/2 of the apples to each sheet to make a long pile, leaving the last inch on each side empty
Push one side the the sheet to cover and pile
Push the other side to cover the pile and overlap the previous side
Tuck well to stitch the edges of the dough
Tuck both ends well
Use a fork to perforate the top to release pressure while backing

Heat over to 350 F
Bake for 25-35 minutes

Let it cool down and add topping if needed
Move the rolls into a wide pan
