1. Blanch almonds. 2. Dry in oven. 3. Then pulverize in a blender or chop extremely well. 4. Place sugar, egg whites, and vanilla in bowl. 5. Add the almond meal. 6. Blend, using your fingers, into a thick dough. 7. Shape into narrow fingers and place on a buttered baking sheet. 8. Bake in preheated 300° F oven for about 20 minutes.
