2 pounds of frozen fish filet you like (free of bones)
5 garlic cloves
1 cup chopped cilantro
1 cup chopped parsley
1/2 cup chopped mint
1 tsp soda powder
2 tbsp matso meal or bread crumbs
2 eggs
1 hot pepper
1 peeled potato
1 onion
2 tsp cumin
1 tbsp sweet paprika
1 bottle of vegetable oil for deep frying
Directions:
Defrost the fish and soak in lemon juice or vinegar for at least 2 hours, better overnight.
Squeeze the fish to take out all liquids and grind it in a food processor.
Grind the potato and the onion and squeeze out all liquids.
Mix everything in a bowl.
Heat oil in a pot, make balls (nut size) and drop carefully into hot oil.
Remove when brown and put on paper towel to absorb oil.
