1 pound white cheese such as low far mascarpone (or drained yogurt in a cheese cloth)
¾ flour or semolina
3 eggs
1/3 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp vinegar
4 cups water
Optional garnish:
Brown sugar
Cinnamon
Sour cream
Butter
Directions:
Mix all ingredients and let sit for an hour or two
Bring the water to boil
Make balls about the size of golf ball and drop carefully into the boiling water
Cook about 10 minutes until the balls float
Drain out the balls
Garnish with any combination of above ingredients and serve with yogurt aside
